Better compromise than the standard whippet for my uses: significantly lighter, and less hazardous to leave on the pole the entire trip. I tend to only pack a whippet when an axe is only borderline necessary or I expect firm skinning, otherwise an axe is more versatile and often lighter. The alpine whippet covers these less severe use cases well. Also a nice confidence booster for newer skiers/skinners when conditions are firm but not really slide-for-life (I'm always concerned about folks hurting themselve...
About 20g heavier than the Trofeo and worth this penalty. - Both bindings have released as expected at the same din - Rotating the haute route heals takes less force, and the haute route heals don't seem to have as much of an issue with getting "gunk" in them preventing them from rotating. I've bruised and broken nerves in my palms rotating the Trofeos. - I've found there's a disconcerting creaking/rubbing in the Trofeos when compressing the ski in concavities in powder. Obviously neither binding has lengt...

Following up on this: once the gators are destroyed, the hard plastic reinforcements flop around and dig into and destroy the liner. This isn't great since the boots are already a bit high volume above my foot I also managed to get some extra space around my toes by dremeling off a bit of the rubber bootboard. The bootboards in mine curled upwards near the toes and were higher than the bottom of the boot. Super easy mod and relieved pressure on the tops of my toenails.
Can you confirm the BSL for the 22.5? Tecnica's site claims "All Zero G women's boots are available in a TRUE 22.5 MP"

Same experience here. I like the boots but the gators bind on the cuffs and wear very quickly. Worse than the F1 LT somehow
